Joseph is originally from Ghana and obtained his medical degree from the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry (Accra, Ghana) in July 2016. He worked as a practicing physician prior to relocating to the US to reunite with his wife in 2019. He is currently a second-year MPH student in the Epidemiology program. He is passionate about Liver research particularly the intersection of viral hepatitis infection and the incidence of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC). He hopes to leverage his skills as a researcher to influence the health of his patients beyond the walls of the clinic, both here in the US as well as in his home country of Ghana. When not in the lab Joseph loves to spend time with his wife (Jay-Sheree) and 3-month-old daughter (Ayinemalia Joy) and watching his favorite team Liverpool FC play football (soccer).
